About NAIHMES
We are a medical student founded 501(c)3 on a mission to promote health equity by training future healthcare providers to address the social determinants of health, utilizing an interprofessional framework to guide their clinical practice, research, advocacy, and mentorship efforts throughout their careers.
Our Pillars
Mentorship
NAIHMES provides mentorship opportunities to health students to advance their professional goals and demonstrate how to engage with the social determinants of health in education and clinical practice.
Education
NAIHMES offers educational experiences to further members’ exposure to public health issues and guide them in creating collaborative and innovative solutions, drawing on experiences and knowledge from experts in the field.
Service
NAIHMES will connect students to meaningful Interprofessional health service opportunities within their own communities that provide them chances to experience the impacts of public health first hand while working an Interprofessional team of students and providers
